Semi-automatic shipping container twist locks have a special pre-loading mechanism that causes the twist lock to automatically close when a shipping container is placed on it. This makes them ideal for areas where shipping containers need to be connected together at height as they can be pre-loaded on the ground.
Semi-automatic shipping container twist locks are used in the same way as doubled ended shipping container twist locks, locating and securing in the bottom and top corner casting holes of a shipping container.
Semi-automatic shipping container twist locks are also load rated to allow safe double stack lifting of empty shipping containers. They have a lifting load rating of 10 tonne so giving them a significant factor of safety.
